Has anyone thought about adding another inch or two of length to the steering column so you can slide the seat back for comfort and not drive gorilla-armed? It could be as simple as a non-adjustable machined spacer or as complex as a transplanted steering column from a 3series or something. Can those who have seen the internals of the steering column comment on the feasibility of this?

That would be nice but something would have to be done to tilt the shifter back too. The wheel and shifter are in a good place together but the pedals are too close. If I move the seat back, I can get to the pedals better but the wheel and shifter (especially) are hard to reach.

Yeah, you're right about the shifter, but that's comparably easy to fix... https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...=hurst+shifter

I was thinking about just running a sparco wheel and using their spacer, but that will kill my radio controls and my cruise control. Bummer.
