Horns...BIG Horns...

How many here have installed a big horn on their MINI? Whats the process like? Any write ups? Do I need a specific horn? Thanks in advance!

Please clarify the question. Air horns?

There's a big horn on my dash in this pic.

I've thought a couple times about getting a pair of Hella Supertones. They are relatively compact and it shouldn't be too hard to figure out a good place to put them. The stock MINI horns just don't seem very loud to me and there have been a couple times when I REALLY needed them like once I was at a light behind a semi and he started to roll backwards I was honking and honking, but he just kept coming. Fortunately, the guy behind me saw this and backed up otherwise that truck would have squished my Bruno Later, I got up next to the guy and told him what he did and I got "sorry, didn't see or hear ya"

I have the "big rig longhorn" air horn by Wolo. I chose them for their horrible dissonent low tone. I cant stand how most horns and airhorns are so high pitched. There are lots of options out there, make sure you hear a sample first because some are real annoying.

You can hear the "big rig longhorn" & the other Wolo horns here
http://www.wolo-mfg.com/air.htm

Good night they have some really obnoxious sounding ones. There were several of the horn sound clips that about made me fall off my chair Guess they would do the trick ehhh

I almost went with the Wolo Gobbler turkey horn. The gobble noise is too annoying, but the steady tone is awesome.

Thanks for those pics... a little too much for me... I don't want to drop the bumper to install horns.

I'll search around for pics of smaller (but loud) horn installs, perhaps that Bad Boy one?

There are other threads about horns that would give you ideas. I think one horn installed was called the Stebel Nautilus or something along those lines. And dropping the bumper is much easier than it sounds. It only takes a few minutes and a few screws.
