Hey
I just wanted to know how many people have aero on their MCS or MC, and if they got it from the dealer or aftermarket. If you got it aftermarket did you notice any difference. :???: :???: :???:

Bought the aero parts unpainted from the dealer. Had a specialty paint shop do the work and instalation. I love the new look. Photos will be posted when I get my camera back from repair.

I did something which I don't think anyone else has done so far- I had the aero top and bottom grills put on a stock MC front end. You can view my PS/B MC on p. 179 of the member minis. The top grill is a straight swap, but the bottom grill had to be laboriously custom fitted. I had a body shop which is used to working on MINIs do it. It's exactly what I wanted. I don't get tired of looking at that black grin

I think the aero kit looks great, better than any aftermarket one I've seen yet. When I order my Cooper I definatley want this option although I think it's overpriced, guess they know we will pay to look good...lol.I would like to see someone offering a carbon fiber wing of some kind, mounted on back hatch...nothing to big and "boy racer" looking though

If you order the car with the aero kit, is it the price listed or is there an installation fee?

From what I remember of the conversation I had with my dealer, you need to add the cost of installation in most cases. Depending, you may also need to add the cost of painting the kit (frequently included in the installation cost.)

I got mine with the car the day I rolled off the lot. I have zero regrets about spending a little extra cash. It is a bit expensive--but, it does prevent a lot of MINI's from looking like mine !

Areo kit looks great...Cost way to much. Another dealer rip off option. I will be getting the side skirts and painting them and installing them at a private shop. this is a mod I would like to do now but I have others ahead of it. But someday soon.

Hey FMS!

That sounds really cool. I love the mesh grill, but I can't afford the $1,200 aero package. Was it expensive to do?

I couldn't find your pic on 179. I guess it moved. Can you throw one up here on this thread for us to check out?

Thanks!

Has anyone tried the british web site http://www.newminisport.com ? They supposedly sell painted aerokits. Depending upon shipping, it could save over 1000 USD from what my dealer is charging.

I have not looked yet but where can I get just the side skirts? I personally like the std grill of the "S" but the aero skirts be icing on the cake.
