Lights, Lights and more Lights

I'm unsure. I like the Alta 4 Light Light Bar. I read that yellow lights are all around better performing in fog, and that if you have the Alta Light Bar with white lights it defeats the purpose of driving lights because they should be higher up. What do you guys think? I like a lot of pics. Thanks

That's basically the idea. Although it's not exactly proven that yellow light cuts through fog better than white, yellow light is the easiest wavelength for the human eye to see. Things that are yellow just tend to stand out more. My yellow fog lights allow me to actually see a wet blacktop road when my HID's just light up the black with more black.

As you said, driving lights should be mounted high. The low position of the Alta bar would probably hurt the performance of that type of light. Fog lights belong down there.

Take a look at the link in my sig. I've got the Out Motoring brackets and Hella FF200 fogs. This weekend, I'll get some new pics with the yellow bulbs I put in. I'm not really sure four fog lights would actually be better than two as the extra brightness might hurt fog performance. You could fit two fog lights and two driving lights on the light bar.

I like them. They def. give you more light. I don't have Xenon Headlights but you can still tell when they are on with Xenons, I've seen 'em. I def. like mine a lot especially living out in the woods somewhat with no street lights at all. It def. lights up the road and edge of the road and I haven't hit a deer yet. I give them a

I don't understand that. The OEM driving lights only go on with the high beams, not the low beam Xenons??? So how can that be?

Don't the low beams stay on when the high beams turn on?

As for the lights mounted on the Alta bar on the bottom...I can see where folks would think that they wouldn't be effective and should be mounted higher, but let me say that when I turn on my lights, its like someone turned on the sun and I feel like the world has gone dark when I turn them off but still have my brights on. So, in general, they give out PLENTY of light
