so i installed oem mini gauge pod with an autometer boost gauge,

but i am not sure about the install. from the front the panel looks clean. from the sides it looks pretty cheap.

I believe you are supposed to remove the small storage compartment that you currently have behind the gauges.

please post a picture when you remove the small

shelf so we can see what the view is from the sides... I have a plastic gauge thingy too, but I don't like the current view....

Thanks & happy holidays,

- Charlie

I actually ran the wires to install this gauge pod but didn't splice in the 2 wires that are needed for power n such. Did you actually have to remove the entire area around the shifter and such to splice the wires? I know one connects to the radio.

what i did is remove the whole shifter console and the 2 pillars. it wasn't that hard but still some work. i spliced into the cigarette lighter power, so the light is always on when the car is on and does not dim at all. i guess it would of been better if i took the time and wired it better but the cigarette lighter wires are right there.

mdsbrain, if you didnt remove any parts of the console, dose that mean you didn't screw it in? i was think of not screwing it in but ended up tapping in the console with screws to hold it in.
