Parcel shelf colour ?

I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed ad nauseum.

I picked up an '06 Astro Black/Anthracite interior Cooper yesterday. I just ordered the Euro parcel shelf, and I swear from all the DIY photos I've seen, that it's much lighter in colour than the piece of mine that it will replace. They didn't darken the vinyl knee bolster piece for '06 did they ?

I asked the same questions last month. Not sure where the thread is.

Do the pictures make the interior look a little blue to you? If so, poke around in the gallery a bit more. I've decided that it's the flash on some cameras that shifts the interior to a bluer color. Find an interior shot that was taken in the day and you'll notice the interior plastic looking more like what's in your car.

I thought the flash might be at issue. I went ahead and ordered the shelf, if it's markedly different and lighter, I can always return it for a refund minus postage. Hopefully it will be a close enough match.

Don't worry, it matches. I'm kinda disappointed with the parcel shelf, everyone raves about it but it's so low under the wheel it's difficult to see so I forget it's even there and don't use it.

I've got the parcel shelf in my 06 and it matches the old bolster perfectly.

I love it. My gloves go in there on one side of the wheel, my sunglasses on the other. It's great.
