Anybody know if the chrome grill kit like the one outmotoring sells

I don't know for sure, but I think it's a real safe bet that it would. Guess you need to wait for that e-mail reply to be positive though.

Yes, it will fit. MINI grills with 3 grill slats are interchangeable from year to year.

The part from OutMotoring is the chrome version of #2. #1 is the entire grille assembly (an assembled unit of #2, #3, and #4), and it is MUCH easier to replace the whole unit rather than to switch out part #2, and it probably doesn't cost much more. I suggest that you e-mail Classic MINI and get a price on MINI part# 51137133847, which is the all-chrome version of #1.

I know about this stuff because I changed my grille to black, and all the concepts are the same whether the grille is black or chrome.
