black out trim

We have a pepper white MCS with a black top, no stripes (we like the understated look). I think the exterior chrome on the Minis looks rather cheap, and I'm wondering if anyone has a kit or replacement parts that are the same color as the black roof.

Nope - you have to pull it all off and paint it. There are several on here that have done this, most either black it out or paint it body color. Do a search, you should find several threads.

Or use 3M Striping Tape found at a body shop supply outlet.

Are you local?? All of my exterior and interior is blacked out - except for the interior of my headlights. I'd be glad to give you a hand - check out my gallery.

If you're talking about the "beltline" do a search for "beltline" or "beltline blackout". You will find various pics of people's cars that have the 3m tape applied to the chrome area. It really changes the look of the car and is a cheap/easy mod at somewhere around 5 bucks and an hour of your time.

Here's my car with it done:

I used the 3M tape. It was not difficult, and I really like the change. Check out my gallery for pix.
