I had a similar question and it's not that simple as just seeing an installation guide, I think. The Recaro Style seats are gorgeous in leather. They can tilt forward, have lumbar support, side supports, etc. They're absolutely gorgeous too. Check out the seatguide on Recaro.com and maybe find a shop near you to go in and check them out. I don't know what color your car is, but mine will be BRG and I'm already taking care of getting Recaro Style leather two-tone seats with Black and Tan. They're boooootiful. Recaro's got a dealer locator on their site too.

Can we continue to enjoy the heated seat, if the Recaro/Sparco, etc. has heated seat capability? How hard is the rewiring?

Anybody also figured out if the headbanger bag is defeated along with the side bag?

Thanks

Ok, if you get a fabric type seat like I installed (Sparco Torino) there is no need for a butt warmer. The seat is very pleasant even in zero degree weather.

I have yet to see any heated replacement leather seats that will work directly with MINI system but that doesn't I'm not missing something.

Front airbags will work fine without having the side airbag. It is important to trick the side airbag circuit though as mentioned in the seat "install how to" to avoid a constant red light on the dash.
