Driving light support with aero grill

Ever since I installed the aero grills on the car, I was unable to remount the small rubber coated support rods for the driving lights that came with the stock grill. Are these pieces used when the aero grill is in place? How are they mounted/attached to the grill for support of the light?

Can someone with a dealer installed aero kit and dealer installed rally lights please look and see if there are small black rods touching the back of the lights? What are they mounted to on the grill side? Thanks.

The places have to be cut out of the grille. If you look at the back of your grille you'll see two slight indentions that show the area that needs to be cut.

Just go slow when you cut it

If you get a copy of the OEM installation instructions, there are detailed instructions on precisely where to cut when you have an aero grill. I pulled mine off of MINI2 (sorry!).

Ok

While I appreciate the suggestions, I think my post was misread.

I have cut the grill and mounted the lights just fine. I am inquiring about the small, rubber coated rods that were mounted in the stock MCS grill, and supported the rally lights from the rear. Basically they kept the lights from shaking, and moving when the hood is closed.

I cannot for the life of me see how these are used when the aero grille is in place, as the piece they originally attached to was part of the stock grill.

Anyone?
Thanks!

lol, simple solution - PIAA brackets, they are far superior to the factory ones with no added support.
