Bonnet Stripe installation

My MCS 04 goes in next week to have Bonnet Stripes installed. I'm planning on detailing my MCS this weekend, including a fresh coat of WAX. The question I have is should I hold off on the wax so the stripes stick better? I'm not sure is the Wax will help or hurt the adhesive.

I would hold off. I beleive they are suppose to clean the surface before installation of any wax or dirt residue so it won't really matter, but then all your efforts would have to be repeated.

Wax is not good!! All the instructions indicate that it should be free or wax. Also, instead of wax consider using a polymer, such as Nu Finish. I have used this for years on every thing from cars to boats. Consumer Reports gives it high marks. It actually includes a solvent that will clean as well as protect. I just got through using on my wheels to make cleaning brake dust off, easier.

I zainoed my hood and clear bra before I installed my bonnet stripes...figured it would be easier to remove the stripes sometime in the future if I wanted to.

Never any trouble with the stripes peeling or anything. I say go ahead...
