Anyone have any opinions about the leatherette. My dealer didn't have any samples when I ordered mine.

I ordered it because I just couldn't see that there was enough in the car to cover with leather that would justify spending $1250. Spent it on other things instead. Plus, I have a dog which might ride in the car on occasion.

Thanks.

I think you made a wise decision. Leather isn't
worth the trouble. IMHO.

The MINI Leatherette (which I have) is VERY nice. It is the same stuff they use in BMWs (and roumour has it, Mercedes, though how THAT would work is a mystery). It's not like any Leatherette I've ever experienced. I'm very pleased. And it feels VERY tough.

No stains!

The only thing I can add is that my motoring advisor's car had leatherette seats and he recommended cloth ONLY because the Texas sun can be merciless and he felt they really got hot. I agree and I got cloth. If it weren't for that, I would have gotten leatherette. It was recommended that I get sport seats, too...maybe my test drive was a bit too spirited!?!?

Sorry, couldn't resist. The sports seats are great.
