Mini Boost gauge pod option....
Does anyone know what brand the meters are, and the quality of them... accuracy. ALSO, anyone who has had this option put on by the dealer, what is the average instalation cost???
Thanks
Ryan
Thanks

They are by Stuart Warner. They are smaller than the gauges that fit in the alta. Very nice, LED backlit, no incandesant with a balloon attatched. I think that the official install time is 1.5 hours. So, take that and multiply by your dealers labor cost, usually around ~$85 per hour.

i cant believe BMW can offer parts like that.
my friend spent a whopping 15 dollars each on a set of VDO's from Summit for his GTI. His boos gauge read about 5psi peak and his water temp gauge never leaves the first peg (100 deg).
his Faze gauges read 18 psi (the correct reading) and the water tep it around 190 deg.
why would you put gauges in a new car that VW was using 35 years ago?
( it ok aircooled fans, ive got a karmann ghia
)
