MCSC antenna to MCS - Can it be done?

I do not like the 90 degrees angle on the MCS radio antenna. I would like to change it for the MCS Convertible antenna that is at 45 degrees. Can it be done? Has anyone done it? Help me out. Thanks.

In case anyone cares, the answer is no. The base of the antenna base of the MCSConvertible is curved while the MCS/MC antenna base is flat.
