Has anyone tried to take the "Hella" sticker off the lights? Its sorta ugly just having a square sticker in the middle of round lights. I Saw one in a showroom, and someone had partially peeled one off . Its not going to harm anything right?

This wasnt very nice.

Whats the point of you having them on a car that isnt really a rally car? Please let the kid do what he wants with the car. He's obviously trying for the rally look, and he is allowed to have those stickers on his car just as much as you are.

Before you imply something from my question without doing your homework, go back and reread what I asked:

"Is it a bling thing? ... Just wondering ... not making any judgements."

Yet, you seem to have made a judgement on what I was asking. Did you see that "" Questioning smilie?

RedNWhite responded with what he was doing. If you had done a little research, you would have seen this thread https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...highlight=MC40
where he was asking where to buy these stickers. See Post #2 where I provided the MINI part #, list price, and a resource to buy them at a discount without possibly providing a VIN (the dealers wont sell that part without a VIN). I was trying to help him

In the future, I would suggest that before you jump to unfounded conclusions, you research what is going on because jumping on me .... "wasn't very nice"

Well i did do enough research (talked to him) to know that you in fact hurt his feelings and upset him. Secondly, the use of things such as "Now seriously dude" and "wanna be thing" seem to be rather condescending comments. Despite the confused smiley, and the "just wondering" That sentence can be (and was) taken as rather pratonizing.

Not to mention, he probably wants them for the same reasons you did....for the rally history. No need for any confusion or questioning

I dont mean to jump on your or start trouble....i just wanted you to be aware that others were upset by what you said.

If I upset him, I apoligize, that was not my intention

My intention was to help him, thats why I provided the info he needed to get the parts

RednWhite, sorry if I hurt ur feelings dude ... no worries. Personally, I dont care what bling people add to their cars, everyone is different and its intended to be that way. We all like different things. MINIs are meant to be "youified".

Peace

I removed the sticker from a set of Hella 181s I had on a VW Jetta in the mid-1980s.

I had a set of Hella 550s on a BMW 528i and left the sticker on them. After about a year of heat from the lights and the weather, the stickers came off by themselves.

It won't harm anything.
