Logo Artist needed!

I need a logo.

In case you didn't know, I'm customising my car to be the "Bat Mini", like a mini Batmobile.

There's a Hawaiian company called Wet Okole that makes kick *** custom seat covers. I asked them about getting the Batman logo on the seats, and they said they could not because the logo is trademarked by Warner Brothers.

They said they CAN do a custom logo that is not a bat, and to email them an image of what I would like, and they could get it on my seats.

So I need a Bat-Logo, which is non-batman-esque.

While something like generic bat logo is okay, I'd really like something with a bit more 'splash'. Here's the 'stock' logos they already offer.

The seat cover logo will be 1 color, black, on gray material. The logo doesn't have to be 1 color, but it does have to look good converted to 1 color.

If I pick a logo provided, I'll mail ya something neato-keen. Thanks in advance.

Here's the car it will be going in: the Bat Mini.

And if it's 'Wagnbat' oriented too, that'd be cool. If not, thats cool too.

Try doing a Google image search with word Bat logo. I saw quite a few that were really nice and not Batman related.

Nah - I think he's looking at something like the original 60's Batmobile, with the red pinstripe thing, big wings, flames out of the butt, and the roof bar. . .nice double-cowl look. . .

Or not. . .

Those are awesome banners, but I'm looking for something much more simple. Logo-ish, and looks good in one color. Logo as in the M shaped as golden arches for McDonalds... Or the Chevy emblem. Or the Batman symbol, but not. :D

And I don't think it can be an old-school one tho either, because those are probably trademarked as well.

I'm overwhelmed with the response already though. And someone PM'd me a neat one, but for some reason he didn't post it. I'll see if he'll post it, or let me post it, because it's pretty impressive.

BTW AC Mini, you mind if I use one of those banners as my NAM logo? The one with the Mini is too awesome!

BatMini Logo

How about something like this?

I think it should work... it still has the wing but it is a bat's wing and it has the "m" for the mini.

I have illustrator file that you can scale to whatever size you want. Just PM me if you want them.

I sent the one from COOPERation to Wet Okole, and they said no pretty quickly. I asked to speak to a manager, explained how much different the logo is from the trademarked variant.

They said their graphics partner "Autographz" has gotten into Trademark issues before, so they won't do anything resembling a trademark. I pleaded my case, and Adrian said he would try to work with Autographz and see what they'd say.

As for the Mini logo with the batwings, as awesome as it is, I think it would also fail if the tribal 'W' bat logo failed. I've heard about how aggressive BMW is on people who infringe in the BMW or Mini logos without permission.

There might be some other things you could try. A stylized version of the utility belt might not be as readily recognized by your manufacturer. Focus on the buckle, I'd say.

Barring that, get a similiar font for the splash graphic at the top of the comic, I'd recommend "The Batman Strikes", the current animated offering from WB, and write wagnbat across your seats.

Just a thought.

Cheers,

Matthew Z.

We do a great deal of graphic work that deals with copyright issues and contracts with Porsche AG and Ferrari. IMHO I think that both Cooperation's and cpraser's concepts are quite good. They both could use some further development that would make either one work quite well:

1. Cooperation's idea might be acceptable if you can work into the design the letter 'M'.

2. cprasers idea would "fly" better visually if the wings were refined a little bit more.

Never write off a first concept it's only the beginning of a fun journey take both of them to the next step by developing them out further, I am sure something can be worked out with either one.
