I have two 2005 MCS convertibles. They were manufactured about 2 months apart. The later manufactured one has the factory premium package armrest. The earlier one did not come with the armrest in the premium package. So far, no one at my dealership can tell me if the earlier car can be retrofitted with the factory premium armrest. If I bought all the parts would this be a straight forward install or is there some sort of bracket that is welded to the floor of the car. I am only interested in the factory premium package armrest not anything aftermarket or the fini-mini one that was offered before. Thanks Darryl

 

it only hooks to the console, it should fit any car, any year.

 

I don't know if the convertible is different, but in my 05 mcs hatch, March '05 build, I've got the factory installed armrest,and I'm disappointed. It's too short (or my arm is, although my shirtsleeve length is 32-33) and it is not firm.

Anyone else feel the same?
