After Market Navigation

Does anyone have a recommendation on an after market Navigation system? I have a party and need to give one a way for a raffle. Any suggestions? Any around $200-275.00?

Thanks

Not very much in the 200-275 range. A Garmin eTrex is in that range but it has a small screen, no sound and does not have auto-routing.

There are other standalone units (Garmin Street Pilot, iQUE, TomTomGO, etc.) but they run about 700 and up. However, you might want to consider a bluetooth-capable PDA and and a BT GPSr/software bundle. I have a Dell Axim X30H ($300) and a Globalsat BT-338 (SiRFstar III chipset...I get 6 satellites in my living room!) with OnCourse Navigator 4 ($250). So for $550 you have a terrific wireless navigation system which doubles as a PDA. Also, since the GPSr is separate from the CPU (PDA) you can upgrade the GPSr as GPS hardware advances in capability and features.

FWIW,

Theo
