Hello all I'm new to the board and finally got my MINI
I wanted to ask ppl who have sun roof and have installed the mini roof racks or the Thule racks. Do the racks make loud noises? (open or close) Aslo, if you have installed the sun roof deflector and if that helps in any way.
Thinking of buying a pair of racks for my surf board but not sure if I would need the deflector as well.

Welcome aboard!!!!
We love the OEM roof rack - others have opted for something else. All I can say is removing the little rubber strips eliminated the whistle even at higher speeds. (we have the sunroof).

Hey Andaya...
I just bought a used OEM rack with a surfboard attachment.. so I guess the OEM rack is pretty good...
Anyways, I won't be needing the surfboard attachment since I'm gonna be getting a bike attachment. If you are interested, give me an offer for it if you decide to go in that direction.
