or have any idea why someone would drop $15K on a body kit. I thought the zeemax was expensive.

This goes on my list of terrible ways to open a door. I guess after you wrench you hand under the $15k bodykit, you have to make sure you don't pull it off! The "mudflaps" make me laugh, too.

I have seen that, and my reaction is still the same...If I had 33,000 to spend on a car, it would not be spent for a MINI Cooper with a body kit!

LOL Don't worry, there will still be a line of peeps to buy it and put it on! Some people buy cars or performance, some buy them to impress girls. Some to impress other guys. I'm not sure where this would fall

Well, at least it's carbon fiber. One of their other 'over the top' items is a similar body kit in fiberglass and it's $8,000.

$8000 for fiberglass?

Not for me...

do people with minis really have that kind of money to throw around on a body kit? It seems like I could pay someone to teach me how to make one of those for less than that

$15,001?

Don't worry, if there is no (or limited) market for it then the price will drop or a new cheaper version will come out.

We live in a free market economic world. If there are buyers with $$$ to spend on a special project car- to advertise a business then the $15,000 to be unique and "eye catching" is worth the expense. It isn't geared for the average MINI buyer- that is more in the range of the MINI aero kit for $1300.

If you like the design then take it to a body shop and do some plastic surgery done and have it repainted. Not carbon fiber but would be unusual.

Whatever you do, enjoy your ride.

I can count on one hand the cosmetic mods for MINIs I've seen that (I thought:smile: ) were worth doing. The rest either make me sleepy, gag, or in this case chuckle and then gag.

A mini La Bamba?

I never thought I would see the day a mini could even remotely look like a La Bamba!

I have a feeling this kit is a one off job. I say this because those pics look very much like a toy. A toy used to sell a body kit which is made to order if and when someone orders one.
