See...the A-pillar cover doesn't come off during deployment...you could mount pillar gauges

Glad you're ok:smile:

This comes from another thread about totaling a mini into a mountain (now in the mini talk forum i believe, i hope its ok to use this pic)

The roof liner airbags deployed, but notice that the A pillar in fact did NOT launch as many had earlier believed. The idea that just the top opens a bit is true. Just figured i would share. Seems like a pillar gauge pods are plausible

Keep in mind that the design of the Airbag system was changed for the 05's! They had to revise it to fit the fold down sunshade and the handle on the passenger side. I dont know if this effects this, but it might. Just thought i would let yall no.

Red mil switches (not in any particular order, some are dual):

1-Whelen horn/PA
2-PLX AF gauge
3-Venom primary arm
4-N20 purge arm
5-WAI pump arm
6-remote N2O bottle solenoid
7-N20 purge button (right side of column out of site)

Near shifter boot:

8-XP-3 deer avoidance arm
9-PIAA 1100X

On top of the dash is a Gtech Pro performance meter/sequential shift light. On the steering column are Venom AF, WAI flow indicators and N2O secondary arm. The brackets for the two pods are fabricated from aluminum stock attached to Autometer cups and mounted to back of OEM gauges using same holes:smile:

BTW...if anyone has the newer silver/orange Gtech Pro and would like to exchange for the black/blue, let me know

Good Lord, you KNOW you're gettin' old when NOTHING down there (except for NOS) makes any sense at all. . .

Sounds like a spare parts list for R2D2 or something. . .

Yeah, when it senses a deer, an arm comes out of the dash and yanks your steering wheel for you. . .

Just hope there's no oncoming traffic!!

Yeah but if you avoid those DEER, how you gonna get some Road Kill. I thought in some state, you kill it, you get to eat it

specially if you hit them with those big old PIAAs first

So I guess the question is this:

Can you make more of those gauge pods for those of us with Navi. Maybe make them cheap and turn a small profit . If maybe not alot at least one for me

Simple layout - I have the Autometer Boost Gauge & my Valentine V1 remote display in the e-pod setup. I put the V1 remote there to keep the V1 stealthy, and I think it's easier to glance at the remote display here than looking at the V1 up by the mirror.

Genious! Care to go into how you made it fit in so well. I really like that aesthetically it looks like the real gauge (with the silver trim etc). I didnt even realize it was a V1 until i recognized those arrows. Very very cool sir

I'll give a description of what I had to go thru for this install - I need to few days to write it down... just busy today & no time.. I like to be fairly precise & tend to re-read & edit stuff like this to make it understandable... Thanks for the thumbs up

I take a warm bath of comfort in your admitted ignorance.

Why?

I too, share the empty brain reserve, when looking for answers to this supposed list of automotive parts.

MSFITOY's MINI interior looks like the bridge of the Starship Enterprise.
