Any thoughts on upgrading only the speakers in the Mini?

I'm sure it's been talked about before, but I'm not really pleased w/ the overall clarity of the stock setup. Will upgraded speakers do well w/ the stock head unit? I'm not pumpin' Beat music through the speakers, but I do like to hear the whole spectrum of a song w/out it getting all garbled up when the volume is turned way up.

Opinions please.
