My airbag light is on

Any way to turn off the airbag light? I installed new seats and the airbag light came on even though i used the right resistor and ordered it from the same place others had. Only thing i didn't do (because randy's instructions didn't say to) was disconnect the battery so I have a feeling that's why. I talked to one of our local dealers and they wont touch it. They won't try the reset. I have one more dealer I can try. Anyone else have this problem? Can an independent european car mechanic get into the system to turn it off?

Put the stock seat back in, tell them that you were doing stereo work, get it reset, then put the new seats back in, but disconnect the battery.

I had an airbag light go on that was triggered by a faulty seat belt sensor--apparently the two systems are tied together. You might want to get the seatbelts/sensors checked. Is this just a question of whether the dealership will check it under warranty? How much would they charge you?

Nope, this is fear of litigation.
They won't touch it, won't go near it, won't have anything to do with it because the new seats are in there.

Have you checked the resistor?(first disc.batt.) It could be a dud. Have you tried dissconnecting the battery for an hour or more? (grabbing air with this one)

Always dissconnect battery, especially regarding airbag system (I know too little too late, this is for everyone else... D2 knows better now.)

I like your new bike. Probably going to have to reinforce that roofrack though (oops)
