Cooper S exhaust on Cooper?

well, i'm not sure wether or not this belongs in interior/exterior mod forums, but heres it is.....

I was looking at my cooper w/o the spare tire up in it, and i was just wondering if anyone had ever put a stock s or aftermarket s exhaust on to a cooper. i dont care if i have to fab up mounts and add bushings, but i was just wondering if it would fit (fter i put on a s bumper of course!)

thanks in advance,

rick aka rednwhite

Super sprint makes a center exhaust for the cooper. For some reason it is more expensive than their other exhaust, then you have to add the rear valence, but it gives the look you want. I was looking at getting one myself, but it did not give the sound I was looking for.

hmmm.....well, if they can fit a center exit on a cooper, that means i can just fab my own up out of a used stock S exahust. i want to use a magnaflow muffler single 4 inch tip out the center... if i can just find a chilli red S bumper for the back.....hmm...... (*HINT* anyone got one!?!?!)

I did it to mine and it was a bit of work. I purchase a quicksilver exhaust and it fits great. The only thing that took the most work was the mounting brackets which are a bit diffrent from a MC to the MCS. You also need the side and bottom black trims from a MCS and depending on the exhaust, you need to cut the heat shield. After everything was done I love the deep tone it has . It sounds like a bit of work but once you aquire all the items everthing falls into place

p.s. I forgot to mension that i no longer have space for a spare .

cool, i'm gonna look into buying a stock s exahust and modify it a bit (cut it off from behind the muffler back and make a new muffler/tip end for it. i wanna save my original exahust just in case , or else i would hack it off tomarrow

About the bumper, I saw one on ebay. I think it is still active.
