decal installation tempurature

i recently ordered a set of bonnet stripes to install on my mini and i recieved them today and am excited to put them on but i am worried about the temperature because it is only about 32 degrees. is there a specific temperature that they need to be installed at to be sure they will adhere properly

I would not recommend you do this in the cold weather. 50F and above is recommended. Use hairblower to remove air bubbles. Make sure use a bowl of water with several drops of soap. Please post pics after you completed

Be sure to let your car's body warm up in the garage of use a hair dryer to warm it up. After installing leave it in the heated garage for 3 hours for it to adhere properly.

I use above 70F. In the winter time, I use heat lamps (2 of them)
to heat up the bonnet before application (warm to the touch), then let
them toast (kind of hot, not super hot to the touch) a few hours for
proper adhesion.

the stripes have been installed and i will post pictures shortly. the stripes look great but i am slightly upset that they were not quite long enough and now there are reasonably large spaces at the top and bottom of the decals where they should be lining up witht he grille and top of the hood there is about half inch gap at the top and at the bottom. has anyone else had this problem

Its shorter on mine too...so I aligned it to the grill since people will notice
it more than the top of the bonnet. Mine was about 1/4" shorter both times.

Bonnet stripes

My guess is that you ordered the wrong stripes and ended up with the ones for the non-S model. The ones for the S are a little bit longer to cover the additional hood area that the scoop bulge creates.

(Don't worry, nobody is going to know though...)
