Make certain that...

...clear bra goes UNDER the stripes... that way you can remove the stripes (which are not so expensive) at any time without ruining the clear bra (which is pretty expensive). My Mini's clear bra ran $300 installed.

Have a pro do the bra because it is difficult at best... and to get it right one must know what they are doing. I love mine... and the 3M 40 mil. headlight protection... it has definitely saved me heartache...

Nice! I'll give it a go. Thanks!

Do they make any noticeable effect as they hit the paint past the edge of the plastic, or is the crease pretty much undistinguishable?
My installer "Bra Man" in Colorado recomends over the clear bra. I haven't had any problems with them to date.

Thanks Cooper_S_Flyer. That is how I did mine. It all looks very natural and nothing is bumping over it's self . When it comes down to it, I couldn't get the clear-bra to lay properly over the stripe. It would come up just at the edge of the stripe. I saw another MINI professonally bra'd like that so I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did .

That only works if you want to keep the same stripe pattern. If you decide later on (like I did) that you want to change your stripe pattern (not just the color, but the pattern), then your' clearbra won't be in the right place. Also, if you decide later on (like I did) that you didn't want stripes, then you have sections of clearbra missing.

My personal recommendation is still Clearbra first, then stripes over top.

If you are unsure if you want to keep your stripes or just like the versatility of changing your stripes when you get tired of them then yeah, it only makes sense to put your stripe over the bra.

Myself, I'm always going to have the stripe that I have. I like the look of it. I was just throwing this particular technique out there because no one had mentioned it yet .
