aero kit pricing

I recently ordered an 05' mcs and i had a question about the price of the aero kit. According to my MA the kit is not a factory option but a dealer option. She explained that the price on the configurator is incorrect and that the kit would cost 3000 installed from the dealer. Is this normal or am i getting shafted?

TIA

ps. i saw it for the first time today and it really does look great

Actually from what I've seen thats a good price. I'm paying a little more than that, but I can't live without it.

My dealer charges 2500 installed... 3000 installed isn't too bad though, I've heard of worse

Um, what color car do you have? You can get some colors prepainted from the factory. Classic MINI will sell those colors for $1360, then you have to pay for shipping. My dealer, after a 10% discount they gave me to come closer to Classic's price, will sell me one for $1580, then they charge $450 to install, but we figure we can do that ourselves. $3000, even if they do have to paint it seems rather stiff to me

Shafted... This kit is so easy to install. Order is painted in your color from Parts dept. at Classic MINI. Just make sure you order some of the nylon clip/screws for the side skirts as the old ones will most likely break when you remove the old skirts.

Really, that is WAY TOO much money to pay anyone to put this on. You can do it..it's very easy.

When did you guys get a quote from classic for 1360? I called yesterday and they told me that the price was now 1650, and that 1360 was only when BMW had a overstock of the Aero kits. When did you guys get your last quote?
