I listen to mostly AM. The stock antenna stinks for this. Anyone have a better experience with one over the other with AM?

I accidentally on purpose switched the MINIs antenna with my wife's Suzuki SX stubby black antenna, and we both are happy with the looks and performance. Hard to beat free. Don't forget to stick a little conductive grease on the threads so that removal will be easy (unless you want removal to be hard, as in theft avoidance 8-)

What's in the hole after removing the antenna? Can water get into the cabin if left unplugged? Just curious. Have not had time to fudge with mine yet. My wife also wants to replace it.

Had an Alta, but now have one of these. Works nicely with the other exterior chrome bits and has a very Mini shape.

Does it matter which year of the S2000 antenna fits?

Search e-bay there are lots to choose from and I bought a 3 1/2" stubby for $15 delivered.

Reception depends on your area. In North San Diego I get all the stations no problem.
