Help with power folding mirror part numbers

Hi all,

I'm hoping to retrofit powerfolding mirrors to my 2018 F56, following on from the guide on this thread.

I spotted a power folding mirror assembly on ebay at a good price. The part number was 7401097 and the production date of the mirror assembly was August 2019. So I assumed it was an assembly for the older style mirrors (not the newer, chamfer-styled ones, as seen on the LCI2).

HOWEVER, when I try to fit JCW Pro mirror caps to the assembly - they don't fit. From a distance, they look like they should fit - but when you try and line them up, it's not quite the same. I can only assume that the assembly is for the newer style mirror caps?

Can anyone with any part knowledge confirm?

P.S. Also, when I search ebay for the same part number (7401097), I can see mirror assemblies with the older style mirror caps attached?! I'm totally confused!
