After looking into OEM and third-party storage options for the boot I decided to pickup this one from @OutMotoring.

: Build Quality :

- Nice textured material on the lid and dividers
- Plastic enclosure on the inside/outside are smooth with no defects/sharp corners
- The two holes to lift the lid are solid and firmly in place (the lid is not hinged )
- The lid is reversible and firm, one side is black and the other has the graphic

: Fitment :

- Once placed inside you are able to slide the container about half an inch forward or backward
- It does not slide easily and requires a little force to move it
- There’s no real movement side to side

Overall, it’s a wonderful addition to the boot and offers me more usable storage

Before this purchase I did look into retrofitting the storage package and getting the OEM storage container with aluminum dividers but the cost, shipping times and part(s) availability were not great.

I take it yours didn't have the factory floor box and cover?

 

@TVPostSound yeah, the Hopkirk edition is based on the Signature trim and did not include the storage package.

In other markets the Hopkirk edition did include it as a standard feature

After having the storage package on my two previous MINIs I do miss it.
