Interior/Exterior Yellow Headlights!!??
Yes, those are simply tinted films.
The best amber lighting option I know of is the PIAA Ion Crystal amber bulbs you can get to replace your high beams. I love mine and they are a nice and subtle mod since you don't see the yellow until I turn them on. . . .
Check out my review of these bulbs in an old thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...light=ion+piaa

Many races use headlight film colors to destiguish which class you are in when multiple classes are running the track at once.
You can always check out lamin-x ... they make lots of lense covers, and i know they offer yellow as one of their colors

I'm using Osram All season yellow bulbs in my PIAA 540 driving lights. They look clear until you turn them on. I put them in just because I already had them, but I find I like them much better than the PIAA Xtreme White bulbs that came with the lamps.
I don't think you can get away with yellow/amber low beams in the US. It probably all depends on the agressiveness of your local law enforcement.

Use of Yellow headlights (principal lights, not fog or driving lights) is generally prohibited in the USA. So if you do the mod, be prepared for frequent stops by John Law and the accompanying fix-it citations. These are fine mods for show cars, and off road vehicles, but only someone with a deep pocket should make a cop magnet like this.
Here's a link to the People's Republic of Kalifornia, CHP site: Yeah, you guessed it, all non - white headlights are illegal.

p.s. If you really, really gotta have 'em, move to France where they are the norm.

Never had a problem with my yellow high beams. Combined with the xenon lights, it gives a nice amber tint to the light without making it too yellow and overly noticeable.

This mod actually has a very utilitarian purpose a well...humans eye's are most sensitive to yellow light. It will actually look brighter than it actually is. If you don't believe me, get some films of various colors and put them over a light. Even though the films block out all colors except the color of the film, the yellow film will actually look brighter than the full spectrum regular light.
Good point about our eyes being sensitive to the yellow region of the spectrum.
I can truly say that my amber high beams illuminate more stuff further away than any headlights I have ever seen.
Of course, if I keep talking about how great they are, I might not be quite so special and unique with mine. . . .

Yucca, is there any other place to get these bulbs other than Autothing? I can't even find the H7 version of them on PIAA's site.
btw, I probably won't be upgrading my highs for a while so you can remain king of the lights for a little while longer

I have the super yellow H3 bulbs in my Wipac classic driving lamps, and they look great. I think that yellow hesdlights are legal in France, so bulbs may be available for almost any socket if you look hard enough, but they are probably illegal in the U.S. - but then I do not believe the police are out looking to write tickets for this offense.

Yellow bulbs can be a little harder to find. Here are some places I turned up via Google:

I think the yellow sticker is showing like the Inivis-Shield Protectors. If you look at the bumper an arrow saying 3M Protected is pointing to the lights. It could possibly anything though. But thats how I see it.
