From Piano Black to Raw Carbon Vinyl Wrap

Did this a few months back but hadn't the time to share my results. I looked into getting the actual carbon parts but for the look the expense was not worth it. I honestly prefer the satin-like /raw carbon look over the glossy bits anyway.
I used VVivid vinyls, they actually come in different finishes and colors from matte to full gloss.
Taking the pieces out was obviously the easiest part, like any vinyl-related projects you have to have a lot of patience and let the heat gun do it's thing.
The AC controls was by far the most difficult due to the somewhat concave curves, I ended up going through several versions because it would pop up on a warm day even when using adhesive promoter.
The trick that finally worked for me was pre-heating/shrinking the film prior to application and then liberally using the adhesion promoter and heat gun. Everything was cut by hand, I used matte black strips to clean up the finish around the three turning controls to give it an OEM look.
