Insulate solution?

Hello!

I want to insulate the floor of mini...Actually i will start from the seats position that i have removed and later i will put some more on the floor-trunk.

While i am searching for the "very" best solution im in between 3 brands.

https://dynamateurope.com/
https://soundskinsglobal.com/
http://www.ctk.eu.com/

Any of you have cna compare or have something to say for any of those brands? Pros?Cons?

1 bad thing that i have to say according soundskins is that they dont seems to have different thickness of foils...And i want to insulate the car but dont want to add +30-50kg....
But dynamat+ctk have more than 1 product in order to use light or heavy etc..

Please give me some hints so i can decide easier in which product i will go for

Thank you all

Are you looking for simple heat insulation, or sound insulation / isolation?

I want to be quieter than it was before and add as less weight is possible...
The main problem is that without the rear seats i can hear everything but also i i might do the rest of the car if the extra weight is (minor) not an issue..

Noise comes from vibration. Eliminate the vibration and you'll reduce the noise. I used Peel&Seal which is a home A/C duct insulation/sealer available at Home Depot and Lowes, much less expensive than the brands you mention and lighter weight. From your post it sounds as though you may not be in the U.S. If that's the case I'm sure there must be a similar product where you live. I insulated my '04s floor from firewall to rear bumper and the inside of the doors with Peel&Seal and am extremely happy with the result. You'll find YouTube videos saying it won't stay stuck down but I've had absolutely no problems with mine and I live in Texas where it's 112 degrees in the Summer. If this doesn't appeal to you, you might also want to research NOICO insulation.

Most important place to apply is where the rear seat used to be and back. Tap the metal with your hand and anywhere it "rings" is where you put more. After, it should be more of a "thud" sound. Hope that makes sense. Exhaust noise will enter as there are holes in the back made for that, you can apply to the metal around the holes but don't block them.

If a brand has a foil pattern that flattens as you roll over it that will let you know it's applied properly. Get some grooved(?) rollers of various widths that will replace the foil pattern with their pattern so you know it's on there.

YUP COOPER48..All those reduce the vibration...Thats their property(those im looking at least).
Actually after i did more reserach i found out that the thinnest of the (heavy duty) is the Dynamat Xtreme which is 1.9mm..However the CTP premium thinnest version is 1.8 its not that good and noise reduction and its not even lighter...0.5kg vs 0,56kg.
So after having no feedback and coudnt find any review comparing those 2 brands.. and decide to order:
1 piece of the Xtreme Dynamat 457X812 for the seats removed position under the GP2 foam.
3 pieces of Superlite 457X812 to check and use some for the trunk+ and anywhere else in the future..

The closed cell foam will help isolate you from any road noise. The Dynamat type material will help with damping the panel reverberation, but won't do too much for isolating road noises.

Sadly sound deadening requires mass/weight. Lightweight foam stuff will give you just some higher-
frequency noise reduction. It will do near nothing against road noise, which is low frequency.

You want to save money and weight? Place mats only where they're most needed.

Yup this is the bad thing of deading...
Thats why i will weight them all together before i start puting...Ill see and i will decide how much im putting..! Foam cell will not do that good work of deading but it will be "double" the deading of the mat if you stick it on the pad.!
So for some spots around the wheel is pretty good !
