Vent & Repeater: install gone bad

Has anyone else purchased and installed the Shark Gill Design Wing Vents with clear repeaters (by Ultra) on their Mini.

I attempted this on Saturday, and while one side worked out great the other did not. The clip next to the repeater light broke and now I am screwed. I had to reinstall the old ones. I did at least change my amber lenses to white (with amber bulbs).

I really did like the look, but I sure don't want to drop more money on the chance it will break again. Does anyone know if there are any other manufacturers other than Ultra that make this cool design.

I did the exact same thing. I ended up wrapping the pin and the broken clip in double sided tape. It's held up for several road trips and cars washes.

Anyone thinking of buying these would be advised to trim some of the chrome plate around the clip and DO NOT force it in place We learned the hard way.
