New stripes application

Hey! I just put new rally stripes on my 2015 Mini Cooper. It had the two small slanted stripes, but I didn’t like those, so I took them off and put on the rally stripes on the hood and boot.

it was my first stripe application. Had to try twice on the hood. Good thing I had enough extra striping to make it work.

Not too shabby for a DIY first time job!

Nice. Did you remove the front logo? If so, is it just taped on, or rivets too?

I didn’t remove the logo. I just used a razor blade to cut around it. This did result in a little gap at the bottom, even though I cut right along the edge. I forgot that it would lay a little different once it was flush with the hood and not laying up over the emblem. But it just looks like a shaddow from the emblem. You can’t tell unless you get way up close.

How did you find going over the bonnet bulge? did the stripes lay on ok or did you have to heat/ shrink them?

I'm pretty sure the front emblem is just taped on with adhesive tape. I know that the rear one is, I would assume the front would be the same.
