Interior/Exterior Webb Motorsports Badging
Webb Motorsports Badging
OK, I've tried working with three different guys on this silly little project, and none of them have delivered.
Does anyone know where I can get reliable, quality work for a WM rear badge and a valve cover badge? I'd like them to be OEM quality, and similar in materials to the MINI wings - but with the WM in red and black, set in a stainless steel piece.
Anyone know anyone?
Thanks,
Randy

I looked at these guys but their prices were a little high. They do badges for custom scooters but they will probably do anything else.

I would check Hemmings Motor News. There seems to be an ad in there for anything you can imagine and then some!

Yeah - custom badges at $250 each is a bit much! I'd do a run of 100 at first, so I can't swing $250 each with the badge and valve cover to do.
Thanks for the input though!

The only thing I could suggest would be contacting Rick Hesel, who designed and sells custom badging for S2000s. I think they're acrylic (no stainless insert like you mentioned), but I've seen them in person, and they do look great -- almost bought myself some for my previous car. He's bound to have information/leads/etc. for your badging idea.

I'll do some digging...
For the Mustang crowd, some of the part suppliers have made nice metal pieces with the old "289" replaced with 5.0 for restomods like mine. They are cast, with good quality, but are painted like the originals. The other place to looks is all those stupid adds in the back of those mags in the seat pouches. They're all selling these "team-building" enamal badges. They don't cost much either......

Well, I've had folks in line for a while. I'll be sure your on the list though! I'm gonna do 100 off the bat, so there should be plenty - not everyone that I've hot rodded wants one.

Ricks Badges
Audball suggestion to contact Rick's is a good one. My wife has an S2000 and I re-badged the front and rear with badges from Ricks. They are a UV stabilized clear flexible poly or acrylic over a heavy adhesive foil back. Mine have the black background, silver "2000" and trim, and a red "S". The colors come through nice. I have seen his badges with metallic colors and they look even better. The badges are flexible and conform to all but the most radical body curves.
I subsequently bought some separate "S" wheel badges and used one to replace the winged MINI on the rear of my Cooper. Both Rick's wheel and steering wheel badges are too large to replace the front winged MINI however.
Depending upon the size of the hub covers, I will likely obtain additional "S" wheel badges when my Panasports finally arrive. Someday. It has only taken six months. But, I am editorializing. Sorry.

Thanks for the tips - I'll give Rick a call.
