I'm looking to get a roof box for my car. Has anyone used the MINI roof box on the OEM roof rack? I'm wondering if there's enough width left over to be able to fit on the OEM bike rack as well on the roof.

Nice car, and the roof box and bike look great. Good to hear it all fit.

So the hatch opens fully without bumping into the box? I'm looking into a cargo box for mine. I fit a Thule Motion XT L, but with the factory rail locations, it was just a little too long to clear the hatch. The MINI box doesn't seem to be much shorter.

On my R56S with MINI roof box on OEM roof rack when hatch is fully open the spoiler is touching the box. The box is pushed as far forward as possible, but the spoiler still touches. A bit inconvenient but I have learned to live with it. The thing I have to watch out for is no-one (including me) accidentally opens/closes the roof box while the hatch is open - that will definitely leave the mark.
If your car doesn't have a spoiler you should be fine. There would be no need to even push the box all the way forward as far as I can tell.
