Those look really retro, but the centers look red. Check your state laws carefully - some states do not allow a red light on a car that faces forward unless you are the police or firefighter.

Pretty cool looking. Are they Lumax brand? I have been thinking about getting some Lucas lights for the front of my MINI.

There are Noteck lamps from the 60's and yes that is ruby glass in the middle. These are small only 5.5" wide. I didn't want the larger size Lucas lamps.
Joe, I really don't think anyone will bother me. I am going to use your idea and remote wire these suckers.
Great idea about being able to turn them on while being parked or follow me home style.

I know of a pair of 1960's 7" Lucas SFT 700S flat glass fog lamps which are the lamps that were originally fitted to the Works Mini Coopers.
Rechromed lamps with the Lucas stamp on the lens and body.. Mint but real $.

Also, where do I purchase a pair of brackets. Does anyone other than MINI sell them?

Here are the Lucas lamps:

There's a couple vendors that sell a heavier bracket than what MINI offers. I think Mini Mania is one of them.

I suggest that you get a lamp bracket/bar that attaches to the bumper assembly as opposed to the hood like the factory ones. I have the Minisport 4 lamp bar and it's really good quality. If you use only two lamps it would give you the option to locate them in the middle or the outside.
BTW When I used to rally my 1963 Mini in England we used to use the Lucas fog lamp with the rear mount (not sure of the part number) onto the boot lid and use as a back up lamp. Pretty much essential when you took the wrong turn in the middle of a Welsh forest at 2:00 AM and you couldn't turn around.
Navigator error of course
