Grille Nuts

I fitted the aero grille to my MCS and in the process of installing the upper grille I lost some of the 10mm nuts into the abyss of the engine bay. Anyone know where I can get replacements?

They should be available at just about any parts store (Auto Zone, Advance etc.) Pretty much a standard type item, I've always seen them in the "Help" product isle. You might even want to check with the Home stores in their specialty fastener section.

By the way they are called Hex Pal Nuts. Good Luck!

yea common problem with grilles that've been re-worked. A rather yukkie fastening method, imo.

Good luck finding your nuts!

A 10 mm bolt is pretty big - I'm betting that what you mean is that the wrench size you use is a 10 mm wrench. The actual nut "size" may be a 6mm 1.5 pitch. Take one of the bolts or machine screws with you, match the size and thread pitch, get stainless steel self-locking nuts and do it once.

Ace Hardware carries a lot of different metric nuts and bolts (loose, so
you can buy even just 1pc).

I've seen them in my local Lowe's Hardware store. They're in a drawer with other specialty type fasteners.
