R53 Facelift Halogen to Xenon

Has anyone ever converted the facelift R53 Halogens to Xenon's? I have been looking but I just wanted to see if it is plug and play for the lights, I don't need the auto leveling and the washer system, just the lights. Thanks!

I don't think you can get it aimed properly without the auto-leveling, if you are thinking of the OEM Xenon.

I would say go with an aftermarket Set of Halogens with the projector and use a plug and play HID kit. It will be 10 times cheaper in the long run. My car had the Xenons and I swapped them out for the Halogens. Kept having ballast and ignitor issues and they are costly to replace. For the price of one housing( not including the Ignitor or ballast) you can buy what I mentioned above. Just my .02.

I am surprised, my family has 2 other MINI's with Xenon's and we have had no issues with either of them. It was the reason why I want to get a set so badly.
