wheel surface protection

What do you use to keep white painted wheels free of brake dust and tar? I have been cleaning the white wheels by washing, using clay, followed with a polishing and then either Wheel Armour or Armour All's Wheel Protector (which I can no longer find). Using this process has worked well when pulling the wheels off the Mini twice a year, with in between car washings. Are there any other products that has proven to work for you?

I like Wheel Wax. The wheels still get dusty but cleaning is easier, and it's easier to buff the wax after application than some other products I've used.

Hydro2. Spray on, rise off. Wheels clean a lot easier. I use it on my whole car and it's like RainX for paint.

Don't know if you'd want to go this far, but when I built my 2016 MCS JCW, I was building the last car I'll ever own (74 years old and put around 2,500 miles a year on my cars, so planning on giving it to my grandson in 10 years). I had my Mini ceramic coated, including black wheels. Zero dust on them and zero rain spots on car. Just run thru a brushless car wash every 2 or 3 weeks and looks perfect.

+1, I've actually had just the wheels ceramic coated since I absolutely hate going through all the spokes during a wash. While on the topic of cleaning, Sonax has been amazing for getting off all that baked in brake dust.
