Another SHort throw question

OK so I have asked this before in short throw threads but it seems it was over looked...heh heh so here we go

Does anyone know if there is a short throw that keeps the original length on top but still has the 40% reduction?

Thanks

I understand that by shortening the top it makes it feel shorter but that's not what I want I like the height

thanks agian

According to Madness, this one only shortens by 20%. I think to get any shorter throw, you have to shorten the stalk. I think that's where you get a lot of the rest of the shortening. Pilo has a SSK for only $65! Not bad!

Tuls,
To keep the shift **** at stock height and get the positive shifting of a Short shift kit mod I think the first place to check out is Helix13's SS. They make different versions for newer and older MINIs, costs less than other kits and works great. Try to find someone that has it installed and try it out. I thought it worked better than my B&M SS kit.

I'll be the 200th to say that I love the Helix: very positive feel without being notchy. It ended up being a little more $ to intall than I thought due to the age of the exhaust.

Shortening the top actually does shorten the throw more. Since you want to keep the stock height though, I'll agree, go with the Helix one.
