Has anyone moded an 05 cup holder to hold Sat radio or an Ipod? I dont mean just sticking in in the cupholder but modding it to become a bracket?

 

I don't like the new cup holders. They looked cool at first, but functionally they don't seem as good as the previous version. It's bigger too, which could be a good thing I guess. For some people anyways.


Sorry for digressing. I've not heard of any mods for the cups, new or old. But then I am not an expert on the subject either.

 

Modding the new style cup holder does not seem very difficult. The entire cupholder swings on a metal U-shaped piece, which I am sure if you just spread apart a little would come right out. Then it is just a matter of creating any mount you want that will fit that size metal piece.
