Mini Cooper Headliner Help???

I've looked almost everywhere, but I can't find any help. Basically, I removed my headliner and the cardboard glued to the roof. What I'm trying to do is take that glue off and so I can add a cool vinyl to the ceiling and maybe some lights. But that glue is a problem. So far, I've tried goo gone and a heated paint scraper and barely making any progress. Any ideas?

Try WD40. Let it soak in a bit.

I gave up on mine, I took as much cardboard off and left the rest. I don't want to scratch the surface or bend the roof.
Maybe try Goo-Gone??

I'll have to try that. Never thought of that. I would just take a blowtorch the the ceiling since it seems to come off well with heat, but I don't want to destroy the paint on the roof. Haha
