I attempted to install the top portion of the Aero Grill on my 04 MCS and encountered a problem with the fasteners. I received 12 10mm stamped nuts with the grill and I have tried to use them to secure it. No go--I am able to start them on the plastic "studs", and even get them to advance by turning them further, but I cannot get them to fit snugly--they just turn without tightening.

Has anyone else had this experience? Any suggestions? Are they directional; that is, stamped side up/down?

I can't use my OE grill as a model as it had circular spring fasteners on the studs. I had my car in the body shop months ago for repairs after a hit-and-run, so I don't know if they were OE. No matter--I had to break them to get the original grill off the car.

worked great for me.
