Aftermarket Wheel Studs Threading/Spacing Problems

Ran into a problem last night, installed the rear M14x1.25 to M14x1.5 studs and the "tuner" nuts I have for them don't have enough thread to actually hold the tire on.

So I can get longer nuts... or wheel spacers... what do you guys think?

With the B12 kit my car is lowered 1.5" and the new wheel tire size is 205/45R17, I'm not a big fan of spacers but it would "fill out" the fender wells a little more. I think I need at least 10mm to get the nuts torqued properly but I'm not sure

need longer studs....most spacers will make the issue worse.
See if the seller will exchange them, or sell them as used...
If you remove and insert/install them using a pair of "jamb" nuts, ypu will leave the typical female Allen head in the end un-harmed.

the studs I have are too long. Thanks for the jamb nut idea, don't know why I didn't think of that, could definitely get the studs in a little deeper.

I'm currently in possession of 2 whole sets of nuts that either are too thick to fit on the wheels or don't have enough thread to seat the wheel properly so my options are:

1. Try to order yet another set of nuts, 20mm max diameter with a deep thread length m14x1.5 or..

2. Get wheel spacers to fill the gap between nuts, wheels and rotor hat, thick enough so the nuts can seat properly.

Check for a set of OPEN ENDED nuts......they are pretty common... didn't totally understand your issue. Gorilla had some in the 12mm....I bet they might have 14mm now.
Other option is to carefully cut 4-5 threads off each one (controversial maybe, but just like cutting any bolt) ...a dremel with a cutoff wheel would work if you are carefully...but first bottom out the studs....they should be in pretty deep.

Set 2 of the nuts I have IS open ended, so I didn't imagine I would have this problem because of that but turns out the threads don't go all the way through... just my luck. So I've got a longer style of nut coming in and if this doesn't work a cut off wheel on a grinder is gonna solve this problem once and for all.

I run 235/40/17 wheels with 45 offset using a 12.5 spacer on front (JCW big brembo car) and no spacer on back. I use extended studs and open lugs (14/1.25) with NO problems. Oh,yes, I'm also lowered. Contact Way motorworks forthe studs as they can hook you up.
