Cup Holder Scratches?

Anyone else who has removed their 2005 cup holder - did it leave scratches? I have 2 small scratches on the front of the support beam from where it was!

Does anyone know if there is any product out there that will buff/cover/etc the scratch on the silver interior?

If the paint is scraped off, you're out of luck. You can try touchup, but
it won't look good....you'll have to paint the entire piece.

If the paint is still in tact and only a light surface scratch, try ScratchX
from meguiar's.

I'll try that. I don't think the scratch is all the way through. It's almost more of a rub spot. I guess that's what I get for not taking if off immediately.

Del, mine came off easily too and I was super careful. I didn't even see the scratch until later.

The cupholder is installed by dealer right? So different people tightening the screws tighter or looser. If after you try to fix it and it still looks terrible, maybe you can put the cupholder back on to hide it?

Sounds like a good excuse to paint the uprights some other color- maybe to match the exterior?

We also noticed that the top of the cupholder connector has 2 pieces of grey sticky tape, but that was missing on the bottom where it rubbed.

Those of y ou who took itoff, does yours have sticky tape on the top and bottom?
