CF Trim From MINIUSA

I was on MINIUSA earlier today and noticed the CF Dash Trim going for just $150 as an option. I'm guessing this is simply stick on CF. Does anyone have this on their '05? Anyone know where i can get pics of this on a car? Thanks in advance, any input appreciated...

Even if it's a full replacement for the fascia, I don't think you'd save more than a few grams over the stock dash. An overlay would, of course, actually ADD weight, which completely defeats the purpose of going to cf.

Thanks for the input guys, a greatly appreciate it. Although it would actually add weight, i think it looks really nice. Great option for those who want the CF look without the CF price..

*EDIT* Anyone know where someone could find pics of this on a car? I'm sure more than just one person is interested in this option....

It's possible that it's real CF. Moulds had to have been made for the MC40s, how much would it cost to make more parts from existing moulds, especially when the strength requirements can't be huge?

Any CF dash for the MINI is purely aesthetic...you could get a hair cut and save the same amount of weight that the CF dash offers...plastic is light

I've seen it installed on a car in person and I'm sorry to say it looks like what it is... a big three piece sticker. It doesn't cover the entire dash either.

for the look,

i would spend $40 to buy some of those real looking CF decals to cover it up.
they all cover the original parts, but it is more fun to do it yourself on your own car with a cheaper price, and we can always get it off anytime we feel sick of it.
I got sponsorship from a decal place that ican get those free. I will put it on later this month to try out.
Someone got do it first! I guess i will be the first person to try to poison tomato!(story of tomato! haha!)

i'm planning on putting the CF kit on my 04 MCS, but i want to wait until i see it in person. if it doesn't look like it fits properly or doesn't work with the interior of the car, i'll stick with my current interior.
