2008 MCS rear license plate lights... better LED option?

hey all, i have a problem... i have a 2008 MCS and according to local law enforcement officers, my license plate lights on the back like to flicker from the bumps as im driving and upon inspection, the setup is very poorly designed... is there a better LED option available that fits better between the prongs or maybe replaces that set up?

My first thought would be to remove the bulbs and try to mover the prongs holding the bulb in place a little closer together. Just be careful as sometimes the metal prongs can be fragile. This should help the bulb sit in the housing better and hopefully get rid of flickering. That is unless the flickering is caused by a non-CANBUS bulb that would likely give you a bulb out warning on the dash...
