Silblades Warranty is great!

After a year of driving with the silblades www.silblade.com The fake carbon fiber material on them has begun to chip and peel. They have a 5 year warranty and I just called them and they honored their warranty without question. They are sending me a NEW set of blades with black frames so that I do not have this problem in the future.

Kudos to silblade's customer service!

And I forgot to say that only the passenger side wiper is losing its finish, but they are replacing both blades and let me choose the black blades instead of the carbon-fiber-look ones I have now.

You need an 18" blade for the driver side and a 19" blade for the passenger side.

they dont happen to sell the rear wiper blade, do they?

mine are utter crap (as in, they hardly wipe water off), and the dealer didnt replace them during the first oil change. At least they were nice enough to change the front ones.

Wipers are a free replacement during your warranty & maint. period.

I just tested the silblade warranty and they passed with flying colors. All three black wipers were beginning to rust after a year and a half. They were incredibly easy about sending replacements which also included new gray blades....without asking for a receipt (must have computer records). The wipers may have been improved because there has been no problem with water coagulating in the middle like the original pair.

While the rear wiper never really snapped into place, I discovered that I could slip it into place in the original housing and it still works fine.

I have the black ones which are now starting to chip and peel. I am going to call for a replacement as well.

an update: although their warranty is great and I am going to end up calling them again sometime since I noticed that there is some rust starting, I am most likely never going to buy these blades again.

I am convinced that the best windshield blades are NEW ONES regardless of their material, quality, or manufacturer. I will simply purchase cheap blades from time to time and replace them as necessary.

I too will not be purchasing Silblades again. Four times now I have called to get my replacement wipers since these silblades are chipping after only a year of use. Each time I have called i have been sent to voicemail. Left a message everytime and never got a call back. Very poor customer service. They wont be getting anymore of my money.
